I completed my Ph.D. with a concentration in Biopsychology at Howard University in Washington DC. Since those days I've taught thousands of students in public and private universities/college and community audiences about normal and abnormal brain and behavior topics.

My scholarship has focused on the lived experiences of Black gender expansive and Black same-gender attracted persons.These human experiences have been understudied in cultural neuroscience, psychology, women, gender, and sexuality studies, history, and Africana studies. My writings and talks are to support positive change and positive collective being-ness.
