For over 25 years Dr Lewis has worked in the capacity of psychology professor, author, international mentor, researcher, and group facilitator. Dr. Lewis earned a Ph.D. in Psychology (Brain & Behavior) from Howard University receiving training and guidance from behavioral neuroscientist and ancestor, Dr. Leslie H. Hicks). She is a professional member of the Association of Black Psychologist and Professor at Winston-Salem State University. She is also a Fulbright Distinguished Chair (2023-2024).
